Day 1 - Edmonton
Arrive in Edmonton and transfer
to your downtown hotel.
Days 2 - Edmonton Discovered
The capital of Alberta houses Canada’s largest
shopping centre. Additionally Edmonton Heritage
Park is a fascinating exhibit and incorporates
Edmonton at the turn of the century and a fully
restored Hudson Bay Fur Trading Fort.
Days 3, 4 & 5 Jasper
Drive into the magnificent Rockies to your base
in Jasper for the next three days, offering great
walking opportunities, Spirit Island in Maligne Lake
is one of the most photographed sites in western
Canada and for the more adventurous a great
whitewater rafting experience.
Day 6 The Icefield Parkway
Travel along one of the Top 10 drives in the world.
Although less than a three hour drive, it will take all
day with so much to view and admire. One of the
best opportunities to spot wildlife including bear,
wolf, mountain sheep and mountain goats. Arrive
into Banff.
Days 7 & 8 Banff
Begin your Rocky Mountain adventure in Banff,
where tourism in the Canadian Rockies first started,
with options to visit the Hot Springs, Sulphur
Mountain gondola ride, Lake Louise and Moraine
Lake, and take the drive along scenic Highway 1A.
Day 9 Cranbrook
Traverse Vermillion Pass and travel down the
western side of the Rockies to Cranbrook. The
Railway Museum is a must do visit.
Day 10 Going To the Sun Highway
Cross the US border this morning and drive another
outstanding scenic road, which many believe rivals
the Icefield Parkway. The views are stunning and it
is the highest pass through the Canadian Rockies.
You will arrive into Waterton.
Days 11 & 12 Waterton
Time to explore one of the forgotten parks of
the Canadian Rockies: outstanding walking, a
spectacular boat trip and a riding opportunity are
all on the agenda.
Day 13 Calgary
Drive northwards towards Calgary and en route
visit Fort McLeod, the original outpost of the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police and see the Musical Ride
during the summer months. Just north is Head
Smashed In Buffalo Jump, UNESCO World Heritage
Site, that depicts how the Plains Indians harvested
buffalo for their needs. On arrival in Calgary time to
explore the city.
Day 14 - Homeward Bound
Depart for the airport for your
overnight flight back to the UK.
