routes to take and so much to see and do on your fly-drive holiday
but our experts can plan your itinerary around your requirements ensuring
you get the most from driving in Canada.
Choosing a suitable car
Canada is blessed miles of wide open roads, leading you to explore
one of the world’s largest countries. It is very important to ensure
you have a suitable car. Distances are large, but easily achieved
on the congestion free roads and Canada’s fuel prices are less than
50% of the UK. All of the larger vehicles come equipped with cruise
control.
Having
chosen your car
Car hire companies often make rental plans complicated. We have therefore
selected to work almost exclusively with Alamo's 'Gold' plan and National's
'Fully Enhanced' plan, which we believe best meets your needs. Both
plans include the maximum available insurance pre-paid within. When
comparing plans, please consider all the factors listed below. |

This vehicle is similar to a VW Golf in size
and would be sufficient for 2 adults + 2 small children on a

and suitable for 2 adults + 2 larger children. More appropriate
for longer distance touring. |
Equivalent to a Toyota Avensis and will comfortably

This vehicle comes in 3 types; Intermediate (similar to Toyota
Rav 4), Standard (similar to Volvo X90) and Full Size (similar
to Nissan Pathfinder). Some may have 4-wheel drive. Suitable
for 2 adults + 2/3 children on extensive touring holidays. |
This vehicle is similar to a Toyota Previa, which will take 7 passengers with limited baggage or 5 passengers with normal baggage on an extended touring holiday. |

Points to consider
when choosing a car:
1. Party size
Carefully consider the number of adults and children in party. If your party size is 6-8 people, then consider a minivan.
2. Choose a car
Pick the size you think you will need for your trip and book the next size up.
3. Luggage
Amount and size of luggage (separate roof racks are not available).
4. Infants
Don't forget to pre-order infant seats for under-fives.
5. Protection
Extended Protection included for your peace of mind.
Important Notes
1. Each driver must bring valid licence
2. Rates are conditional on presenting pre-paid service voucher
3. Drivers aged 21-24 will pay a local surcharge and an excess
4. Drivers over 25 pay a local excess in the event of an accident
5 . All rentals in Whitehorse and Newfoundland pay an excess
6 . Named driver must have a valid credit card in their name
