Day 1 - St John’s
After your short flight from London, pick up your
rental car and take the short drive into the oldest city
in North America. Lots to see and do, much of which
is concentrated round the fine natural harbour in the
bustling and lively downtown core.
Day 2 - St John’s
Enjoy a city tour of St John’s this morning including
Government House and Signal Hill National historic
Site for its stunning views of coastline and landscape
and to get a feel for this pretty city with its highly
coloured houses. Then depart along the Irish Loop
of the scenic Avalon Peninsula visiting along the
route Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North
America. The Irish Loop has fantastic marine wildlife
with Bay Bulls, a great spot for viewing the world’s
largest population of humpback whales. Enjoy a
Ferryland Lighthouse Picnic of gourmet proportions
while taking in the landscape, coastline and keeping
your eyes open for whales at play!
Days 3 & 4 - Trinity
The scenic drive along Conception Bay today opens
up fantastic sea vistas for you to enjoy. The area
around Bonavista Bay has extreme natural beauty
and was the setting for the movie “The Shipping
News” and also the widely acclaimed TV series
“Random Passage”. The Cape Random film set offers
visitors an opportunity to experience life in a typical
1800’s community.
Day 5 - Notre Dame Bay
Continue through the Terra Nova National Park
with its sheltered bays and rugged coastline via
the charming fishing village of Twillingate, home to
whales and icebergs.
Days 6 & 7 - Gros Morne National Park
One of the best known National Parks in North
America for its unique geology, absolutely stunning
scenery, and beautiful communities in spectacular
settings. An afternoon boat trip through the
magnificent Western Brooke Pond Fjord is a must, as is
a walk on the Tableland Mountains - the reason for the
Park’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Days 8 & 9 - Quirpon Island
Travel northward along the Viking Trail and then
transfer by boat to Quirpon Island. This remote area
offers a fantastic opportunity to whale watch, view
icebergs on their southerly drift, stay in a lighthouse
keeper’s home, and enjoy some amazing walking.

Days 10 & 11 - Main Brook
Today visit the L’Anse aux Meadows, a UNESCO
World Heritage Site, and the only authentic Viking
settlement in North America, Hard to believe that
they were the very first Europeans ever to land in the
new world over 1000 years ago!
Days 12 & 13 - The Humber Valley
This resort offers you many options at the end of
your trip, including walking, golf, fishing, zip lining,
cycling, caving, boat touring, or just relaxing. Many
clients may choose to extend their trip by adding
further days.
Day 14 - Homeward Bound
The short drive this morning to Deer Lake Airport for
your flight either via Halifax or St John’s back to the UK.
